Motorhome Update

KNAUS SKY TI VW: a bestseller gets a completely new foundation

With the new SKY TI, Knaus puts one of its most popular models on an entirely different footing. Gone is the familiar Fiat Ducato chassis, in comes the VW Crafter. That makes the SKY TI the first low-profile motorhome at full width (2.32 m) built on the Crafter, until now only narrower VW variants were on the market. Knaus itself sums up the ambition like this: the driving feel of a car, with the comfort of home. Our colleagues already took a close look at the new SKY TI at Caravan Salon Düsseldorf, and gave the model their approval. It won't be on view in showrooms until spring 2027, but you can discover it first at our stand at Mobicar! We're curious to hear what you think!

From Ducato to Crafter: a fundamental shift

The modern VW chassis comes standard with automatic transmission and the GSR II safety package: emergency brake assist, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition and fatigue detection. The result is a driving experience that feels closer to a passenger car than a van, with noticeably more stability and comfort on every stretch.

A skylight that transforms the interior

The most eye-catching design element is the largest openable real-glass panoramic window Knaus has ever fitted into a cab roof. It brings in exceptional amounts of light and an unobstructed view of the stars. It's operated via a single central lock, with dampers that make opening and closing smooth and quiet.

A living area that flows together

The newly developed face-to-face seating area forms the SKY TI's central meeting point, generously sized and harmoniously integrated into the rest of the living space. The corner kitchen makes optimal use of the available space and offers extra worktop with full freedom of movement. A 157-litre compressor fridge with double door hinges, and high-quality full-extension drawers, mean you can easily reach right to the back, for quick access and tidy storage while cooking on the road. At the rear, the FoldXpand system, a specially shaped rear wall, gains the camper a few extra centimetres of interior space without the vehicle growing any larger on the outside.

Sleeping and washing, neatly separated

At the rear are generous single beds with an impressive 95 cm of headroom, optionally extendable into a larger sleeping surface. Illuminated wardrobes under the beds and ambient lighting in the sleeping area make it a peaceful retreat. The washroom and toilet form one spacious zone, while the shower is deliberately kept separate, for more room to move while showering.

A warm, functional double floor

Knaus once again proves it's among the best of our brands when it comes to winter-ready vehicles. The double floor is heated and completely threshold-free, for a continuous, level sense of space. Thanks to double insulation, it stays comfortably warm even in low outside temperatures, while water and heating pipes are protected from frost damage. The double floor also offers a pass-through for bulky items like skis or camping furniture, plus plenty of storage compartments for smaller gear.

Three floorplans

650 MEG: the most compact floorplan at 6.99 m, with classic single beds at the rear.
700 DEG: 7.50 m long, with a spacious bathroom concept and the new face-to-face seating area.
700 DX: also around 7.50 m, with a queen-size bed instead of single beds.
