Bürstner Signature Mercedes: same concept, now also on Mercedes
Barely a year ago, Bürstner introduced the new Signature Fiat, a motorhome that stood out for its revolutionary interior concept and extensive personalisation options. The first units have only just arrived in our showroom. Now comes the next step: the Bürstner Signature Mercedes had its world premiere at Caravan Salon Düsseldorf. Every visitor to the show will confirm it: no other model had a longer queue. Its Belgian premiere follows at Mobicar in Brussels Expo, from 8 to 11 October.
Signature Fiat or Signature Mercedes?
The Signature's interior concept remains unchanged, as does the AL-KO chassis. What changes is the base vehicle: instead of the Fiat Ducato, the Signature Mercedes is now built on a Mercedes Sprinter. The arrival of the Signature Mercedes doesn't change anything about the Signature Fiat's range, both versions continue to exist side by side and share the same vision of space, design and comfort. The Signature Fiat remains the most accessible entry point, with plenty of freedom to configure the equipment yourself. The Signature Mercedes starts from €96,090, around €15,000 more than its sister version on Fiat-AL-KO, but comes with an automatic gearbox, driver assistance systems and the MBUX multimedia system as standard, equipment that's largely optional on the Signature Fiat. Configure both models with comparable equipment, and the real price difference narrows considerably.
An interior that moves with you
A continuous floor provides a threshold-free transition between the cab and the living area. Integrated acoustic fabric walls improve sound comfort, complemented by ambient lighting. At the front, a panoramic roof window is available as an option.
The rotating bench seat, a Bürstner patent, lets you sit safely facing forward while driving, and once you arrive, you turn the same bench around to create a face-to-face seating area. Upholstery, furniture fronts and rear walls can be combined with one another.
A kitchen that grows with your cooking plans
The worktop is extendable. Optionally, a premium kitchen offers extra worktop space and storage solutions. The compressor fridge offers 138 litres, with a separate 12-litre freezer compartment. You can cook on gas or, entirely gas-free, on induction.
From bathroom to spacious shower, in one move
With a single movement, the washbasin and toilet slide aside, creating a shower that Bürstner itself compares to the spaciousness of a Liner-class motorhome. A cassette toilet comes as standard, with a ceramic toilet with a fixed 120-litre tank available as an option.
A bed that disappears completely by day
On the version with a lift-up bed, a raised roofline at the front provides enough interior space, and the bed disappears completely from view during the day. Bürstner describes itself as the inventor of the lift-up bed, and positions this version as the further development of that concept. You choose between twin beds or a central queen-size bed, with plate springs (Tellerfedern) and a comfort mattress available as an option, while a sliding door separates the sleeping area from the rest. The Signature Mercedes offers 198 cm of headroom and, depending on the layout, sleeps 2 to 5.
Ready for days without power or gas
An impressive 200-litre fresh water tank comes as standard. The 150 Ah lithium battery can be expanded to 450 Ah. For those who don't want any gas on board, the optional Gas-Free Pack offers diesel heating and induction cooking, good for up to 72 hours of self-sufficient stays without mains hook-up or gas.
For winter use, an ALDE central heating system with hybrid function, running on gas or diesel, can also heat electrically when connected to mains power. A fixed 50-litre LPG tank is available as an alternative to loose gas bottles. Optional hydraulic levelling legs set the motorhome level at the push of a button.
