Making coffee in the camper

!!NO, UNFORTUNATELY YOU CANNOT USE THE KETTLE OR COFFEE MAKER FROM HOME IN THE CAMPER (WITHOUT CAUSING DAMAGE)!!

After all, most kettles operate at a wattage that the residential batteries of our campers cannot supply. There are special kettles and coffee makers with a wattage of up to 1000W that work in the camper. Just keep in mind that you need to be connected to the power or need a very strong inverter (1000W) and that the device may work a little slower than you are used to at home.

If you want to heat water without an inverter or mains connection, it is best to choose gas alternatives. You can of course just boil water in a cooking pot, but we recommend opting for more user-friendly alternatives such as a kettle or a percolator.

Many coffee lovers work at Vanomobil, these are our favorites:

KETTLE/WHISTING KETTLE AND COFFEE FILTER
Back to basics: boil water and manually pour it into a coffee filter. This is the most budget-friendly option with excellent coffee as a result. If you immediately place the filter on a thermos, you can easily go on a day trip.

KETTLE/WHISTING KETTLE AND HAND PRESSO
This is a new product for the real coffee lover! The minipresso itself does not require an energy source, but works purely manually. But don't forget that you do need an alternative to heat your water. Then you simply pour the hot water into the minipresso and build up pressure by pumping. Compact, easy to use and 50ml of phenomenally delicious coffee WITH foam layer. Just as good or better than your espresso machine at home! An NS adapter can also be purchased with this system so that you can use your Nespresso capsules from home. If you prefer a large cup of coffee, you can easily make a delicious Americano from these espressos by adding some hot water.

PERCOLATOR
Make coffee on your gas stove! Biggest advantage: the same device heats the water and allows the water to run through the coffee filter. You fill the filter plate with ground coffee and the bottom part with cold water. The heat from the gas fire causes the water to boil and creates a pressure that pushes the water up and allows it to flow through the coffee. The coffee is then collected again in the upper chamber. Rinsing is sufficient in terms of maintenance. With a percolator you can make up to 6 espresso bags or 3 normal bags or one large bag in 1 at a time. We also offer a smaller model.

COFFEE MAKER (800W)
The well-known coffee maker, just like at home! Make sure that the device works on 220V and max. 1000W. Our Mestic coffee maker meets these conditions. Lots of coffee, easy and delicious! Only downside: this is a quite large device.

ESPRESSO MACHINE (1000W)
The well-known espresso machine from home. This works on 220V and 1000W, so it can be used perfectly in campers with a 1000W inverter or at a campsite with electricity. This way you can take your favorite cups from home with you for a delicious espresso with foam layer in your camper. Soon available again in our Vano Shop!
