Vanomobil Teambuilding 2022
In the early morning, the management team leaves to Jupille for some brainstorming sessions about the future of our beloved Vanomobil. Wildtrails, the organization, immediately provides a warm welcome and a comfortable space. Everything is there to draw out the broad outlines of our strategy without interruption. In the afternoon, the other colleagues also leave from the three fortresses by bus
We meet again, all 60 colleagues, somewhere in a forest in the middle of nowhere. The buses drive away and together we have to find our way back to our sleeping place. We walk through the woods and fields with a beautiful sunset in the background. The atmosphere is immediately good: everyone is super excited to get away from it all together (and the gin will probably have something to do with it too).
Once we arrive at our accommodation, we settle in and change the walking boots with our costume/dance shoes. 'Le Garde-Chasse' is a beautifully renovated country house with sufficient sleeping accommodation for the entire Vanomobil Team, a nice lounge area and beautiful terraces with a breathtaking view of the Ourthe valley. The perfect base for the Vano Team! During the aperitif we raise our glasses together to our team, to the beautiful Vanomobil community that we are part of and especially to the warm people behind the company, Véronique and Ignace. We then sit down together at the table for a delicious barbecue. The evening ends in the bar downstairs, where you can dance to the beats of DJ Sophie, play a darts tournament or just chat.
At sunset (beautiful morning in the Ardennes) we sit down to the breakfast buffet, some of us feel better than the other after yesterdays party, but all in our blue Vano Team outfit. After a hearty breakfast, we face our first challenge in the morning sun with a gigantic ball. Awake or not, the creature's competitive nature soon emerges! After the warm-up we split into four teams for the next activities. On the one hand, bridges are built (literally and figuratively), mega catapults are shot, boats are raced and on the other hand, boundaries are pushed on the via feratta and death ride. In the afternoon we enjoy delicious fresh fries and burgers in the bright sunshine. Does every assignment come to a successful conclusion? Maybe. Did we have a good laugh and get to know each other a little better? 100% sure!
After the activities we gather for a very last final drink to chat a bit. Just then a call comes in that an open vacancy has been filled! The news is received with loud cheers and applause. Next team building we will be with at least one more colleague. The perfect end to a memorable two days.
