Vanomobil Camper Village at the Belgian Cycling Championship in Zottegem on June 23, 2024. On Saturday, about 80 campers arrived in Zottegem heading towards Bevergemse Vijvers. Early in the morning, the campers began setting up one by one in their spots on the beautiful parking lot shaded by trees. After checking in with Maité and exploring the goodie bags, the outlined walks or bike rides were tested. Some took advantage of the swimming pool. By evening, everyone gathered for an aperitif. It was a joyous reunion with our customers and a pleasant meeting with other like-minded motorhome enthusiasts.
We enjoyed a delicious barbecue and then it was time for the Red Devils against Romania! We donned our jerseys, scarves, and wigs in the national colors, ready to cheer! And it worked! Within minutes, the first goal was scored. The atmosphere was great and we could end the match with a beautiful 2-0 victory! Everyone happily went to bed.
On Sunday morning, we woke up again with the sun and enjoyed breakfast under our awnings. By 11 AM, we walked together to the supporters' plaza: 60 meters of the course were reserved exclusively for Vanomobil customers! In the shade of the stretch tent, we followed the race on a big screen, quickly moving to the barriers to cheer as the riders approached.
We enjoyed fries, ice cream, and refreshing drinks. The cherry on top was Lotte Kopecky's victory and the thrilling sprint among the men where Arnaud De Lie emerged as the strongest. Another wonderful weekend of racing with the Vanomobil family, thank you for being there in such large numbers!
